"If it makes you feel better to flush some expensive booze down the toilet, have at it. It’s your money. But at least consider the underlying economic realities."
"First of all, if you happen to have a bottle of Beluga or Russian Standard on your shelf at home, dumping it down the sink will produce a negative economic impact on no one but yourself. The booze is already paid for. Your money went to the liquor store, a part of which went to their distributor who in turn paid the Russian exporters originally. You can’t reel that money back in.
If you stop buying your former favorite Russian brand, the only people you are directly hurting are your local liquor store owners."
In the state of New Hampshire the liquor stores are state owned and this is the consequence:
"Governor of New Hampshire ordered state liquor stores to pull all Russian vodka and other liquors off of the shelves to further punish the Russian economy over Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine."

Now Russian vodka will be prized and go up in price. I was buying 9mm and 45ACP yesterday and because of sanctions, the steel cased ammunition from Tula, Russia is almost as expensive as the domestic, higher quality brass cased ammunition. Might have to sell my Wolf 223 and profit.
