Biden Administration Nixes Mig-29 Deal

Poland wants to give its Soviet aircraft to Ukraine in return, the US will give the Poles obsolete US combat aircraft. The US decided to not do the deal. Too worried about a Russian response? Was this a smart decision? Or will many more innocent Ukrainians die because those planes aren't destroying Russian artillery and bombers?

And now for the rest of the story.

Poland told the U.S. that they would fly the Migs to the airbase in Germany (Ramstein) and put them at the disposal of the U.S. Then the Ukraine pilots could fly them out of there. Basically they told the U.S. if you want a WWIII then you start it.

If that is true, one has to wonder where the Ukrainians were planning to land the planes.

I don't think Putin sees much difference between the US attacking with our aircraft or giving our aircraft to another country to attack with. Our collective western weakness made this whole mess possible and now there is no solution that doesn't risk the cornered dog using nukes.
