I am worried the world is backing Putin into a corner, or into the arms of China's Xi.

Russia's economy has declined, Brazil's is actually larger.

I'm thinking XI is smart enough to know that cuddling Putin after what he's done isn't a smart play. China can't risk being slowed down by angry consumers around the globe. They have coal plants to build and future countries to conquer, why risk showing any favor toward the most hated man alive? I'm sure China will be happy to buy Russia's oil at a big discount though.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

President Obama pledged to defend Ukraine but no one is faulting President Biden for not holding up our end of the deal.
I doubt the world would expect China to declare war on Russia if Putin chose to use tactical nukes in Ukraine.

""We’re just at the start of it. We have no idea what the consequences of this will be long term or even in the near short term.” The biggest unknown is not when this war will end—because it won’t anytime soon—but where."........

''“This story is as big [as], if not bigger, than 9/11 and the fall of the Soviet Union,” Katerji said, comments that have partially echoed those made by Britain’s foreign secretary. “

Good news. Putin asked Kazakhstan for troops to join the Ukraine invasion. They refused and instead sent millions of dollars in medical aid to Ukraine.
