YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS UP

So what’s the latest idea from the Democrats? Only the largest subsidy ever for oil, in the form of $100 per person monthly payments to assist Americans to buy gasoline. Up to $400 a month for a household of four. (Democrats are calling it a “rebate,” but in fact they aren’t rebating anything, since “rebate” would involves consumers paying the government in the first place.)

I thought consumers were paying state and federal gas taxes.

Fred,
You are correct, in that the purchase of gas includes a federal and state tax. The details of this proposal have not been fleshed out. It is typical of the democrat playbook, throw it against the wall and sees if it sticks.

Are they giving this "free" money to everyone whether they own a car or not? Are they sending the money to people who have a car but are wealthy enough that they can afford gas?

Have Democrats STILL not learned the lesson of the inflation the government created? Once again they will be buying votes because their policies are destroying the economy and our country.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

"A woman called 911 to report her friend had been taken hostage by a Seattle, Washington, vagrant. When police pursued the suspect’s car, he got on the phone with a 911 dispatcher, declaring that the chase was illegal due to a 2021 law passed by state Democrats and pleading to call off the pursuit, according to a report."

" Sissel was eventually taken into custody after spike strips were laid down and the vehicle was stopped."
It would not surprise me if Sissel sued Seattle for damage to his tires.
