" Today’s GAO report confirms that as the CDC was preparing for the most complex vaccination campaign in the nation’s history, Trump Administration officials wasted millions of taxpayer dollars from its budget on a celebrity vanity campaign that scrutinized participants’ political loyalties to the then-president and may have enriched a close ally of a senior official. This is yet another instance of the Trump Administration’s pandemic response prioritizing politics over public health."
Biden made a fresh plea on Wednesday for more funding, warning that without another influx of money, the U.S. will no longer be able to provide key programs like COVID testing, vaccination and treatment operations for uninsured Americans.
"Without funding, we're not going to be able to sustain the testing capacity beyond the month of June," Biden said in prepared remarks. "And if we fail to invest, we leave ourselves vulnerable if another wave of the virus hits."
LOL, "millions misspent"
The Secret Service estimated late last year that roughly $100 BILLION has been stolen from COVID-19 relief funds, a figure that's based on Secret Service cases as well as data from the Labor Department and the Small Business Administration.
.
Always ignore the big picture so you can obsess over the smaller one.
FROM YOUR LINK.....Trump's take was DOUBLE the amount.....what we have is a FRAUDULENT FUBAR
In the span of just two years, Congress unleashed a torrent of federal money to shield the economy from the coronavirus pandemic, approving roughly $6 trillion in relief measures. Lawmakers approved about $2 trillion under Biden and $4.1 trillion under former President Trump, according to a COVID money tracker published by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a nonpartisan organization based in Washington.
Trump also wanted to open up the economy much earlier than the Democrats who now want a 5.8 trillion budget. I guess they didn't learn from recent history about what happens when you flood the economy with IOU's.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

WHO IS THEY?
President George W. Bush asked Congress on September 20, 2008 for the authority to spend as much as $700 billion to purchase troubled mortgage assets and contain the financial crisis.
THE GREAT RECESSION WAS UNDER A "R".

I'm not a fan of W, but I'd just ask who you think caused that mortgage crisis in the first place and what the alternative fix should have been. That was a much different situation than the one we are facing now. I wasn't happy about bailing out those banks but the alternative seemed to be worse at the time. It was ultimately caused by bad policies that forced risky loans to be issued... another government failure of (to use your line), "forward thinking".
Government caused our current crisis as well if you have enough common sense to understand that intentionally killing economies will ALWAYS result in global pain.

It was a bipartisan program to get more Americans into buying homes. So regulators ignored loans that were given to people who couldn't afford them. Or weren't qualified.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
The financial factors ( in both scenarios) were the impetus for the fubar.....shutting down the economy and printing money ,PREVIOUSLY it was the derivatives and exotic loans that were thought to be primo.....in essence .....taking the easy path to propping up a "bubble" that would not burst.....(BIG MISTAKE) THE R'S
ruptured the economy and Powell (and his predecessor ) r NOW in the same situation....so it is a BIPARTISAN BIG BLOWOUT.
