“Treatment with ivermectin did not result in a lower incidence of medical admission to a hospital due to progression of COVID-19 or of prolonged emergency department observation among outpatients with an early diagnosis of COVID-19,” the researchers concluded.

The scientists behind the Brazil trial presented initial results from their experiment last August, but the full peer reviewed study was only published this week in the New England Journal of Medicine.MO

There are few drugs that can seriously lay claim to the title of ‘Wonder drug’, penicillin and aspirin being two that have perhaps had greatest beneficial impact on the health and wellbeing of Mankind. But ivermectin can also be considered alongside those worthy contenders, based on its versatility, safety and the beneficial impact that it has had, and continues to have, worldwide—especially on hundreds of millions of the world’s poorest people. Several extensive reports, including reviews authored by us, have been published detailing the events behind the discovery, development and commercialization of the avermectins and ivermectin (22,23-dihydroavermectin B), as well as the donation of ivermectin and its use in combating Onchocerciasis and lymphatic filariasis

Your title is misleading and 100% incorrect.

As soon as I saw "horse meds", I knew what kind of news sources you get your information from. That's ok, there's millions of people who trust the same sources so you're not alone.

On a related note using the same kind of misleading words, I take a small dose of rat poison every night before I go to bed. Seriously, I do, and I'm not a rat and I'm not trying to kill myself.

Our dishonest media distorts truth daily to advance their narratives and you should just be aware of that.

I assume your doctor monitors that drug very closely......

medlineplus.gov/druginfo/meds/a682277.html

MPORTANT WARNING:

Warfarin may cause severe bleeding that can be life-threatening and even cause death. Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had a blood or bleeding disorder; bleeding problems, especially in your stomach or your esophagus (tube from the throat to the stomach), intestines, urinary tract or bladder, or lungs; high blood pressure; heart attack; angina (chest pain or pressure); heart disease; pericarditis (swelling of the lining (sac) around the heart); endocarditis (infection of one or more heart valves); a stroke or ministroke; aneurysm (weakening or tearing of an artery or vein); anemia (low number of red blood cells in the blood); cancer; chronic diarrhea; or kidney, or liver disease. Also tell your doctor if you fall often or have had a recent serious injury or surgery. Bleeding is more likely during warfarin treatment for people over 65 years of age, and it is also more likely during the first month of warfarin treatment. Bleeding is also more likely to occur for people who take high doses of warfarin, or take this medication for a long time. The risk for bleeding while taking warfarin is also higher for people participating in an activity or sport that may result in serious injury. Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking or plan to take any prescription or nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal or botanical products (See SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS), as some of these products may increase the risk for bleeding while you are taking warfarin. If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately: pain, swelling, or discomfort, bleeding from a cut that does not stop in the usual amount of time, nosebleeds or bleeding from your gums, coughing up or vomiting blood or material that looks like coffee grounds, unusual bleeding or bruising, increased menstrual flow or vaginal bleeding, pink, red, or dark brown urine, red or tarry black bowel movements, headache, dizziness, or weakness.

Some people may respond differently to warfarin based on their heredity or genetic make-up. Your doctor may order a blood test to help find the dose of warfarin that is best for you.

Warfarin prevents blood from clotting so it may take longer than usual for you to stop bleeding if you are cut or injured. Avoid activities or sports that have a high risk of causing injury. Call your doctor if bleeding is unusual or if you fall and get hurt, especially if you hit your head.

Keep all appointments with your doctor and the laboratory. Your doctor will order a blood test (PT [prothrombin test] reported as INR [international normalized ratio] value) regularly to check your body's response to warfarin.

If your doctor tells you to stop taking warfarin, the effects of this medication may last for 2 to 5 days after you stop taking it.

HA,
Don't forget to send the product insert information to Hilary, as she is on the same medication.

Now back to your original reference Fortune Magazine. If you had bothered to go to the NEJM paper that their article is based on, you would find that the protocol used in the study is not one that is prescribed by practitioners . The dosage of Invermectin used in the study is 40+% lower that the dosage that is actually prescribed. The 7 day wait from onset of symptoms is significantly longer than that recommended .
"METHODS
We conducted a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, adaptive platform trial involving symptomatic SARS-CoV-2–positive adults recruited from 12 public health clinics in Brazil. Patients who had had symptoms of Covid-19 for up to 7 days and had at least one risk factor for disease progression were randomly assigned to receive ivermectin (400 μg per kilogram of body weight) once daily for 3 days or placebo. (The trial also involved other interventions that are not reported here.) The primary composite outcome was hospitalization due to Covid-19 within 28 days after randomization or an emergency department visit due to clinical worsening of Covid-19 (defined as the participant remaining under observation for >6 hours) within 28 days after randomization."

It is of benefit to go to the source rather than rely on what a journalist deigns to write.

If interested, here is the Zelensky protocol, as an example of how ivermectin is used.

Moderate / High risk patients
Elemental Zinc 50-100mg once a day for 7 days
Vitamin C 1000mg 1 time a day for 7 days
Vitamin D3 10000iu once a day for 7 days or 50000iu once a day for 1-2 days
Azithromycin 500mg 1 time a day for 5 days or
Doxycycline 100mg 2 times a day for 7 days
Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) 200mg 2 times a day for 5-7 days and/or
Ivermectin 0.4-0.5mg/kg/day for 5-7 days Either or both HCQ and IVM can be used, and if one only, the second agent may be added after about 2 days of treatment if obvious recovery has not yet been observed etc.

HERE'S the solid source....New England Journal of Medicine.........

Within the article, u will find it states there r differences of viewpoints.......I have found (changing subjects)
that most doctors do NOT test the thyroid in an adequate manner.....TSH values is usually the go to for a panel.......(a COMPLETE panel for thyroid has at least 6 values to consider).....SO, when u r treating a NEW virus, experimentation is the norm...it will vary from doctor to doctor.

You should have noted that I referenced the NEJM article, which I quoted.
With regard to your comment(?) regarding Thyroid testing, please do not go into the deep end of the pool when you don't know how to swim.

Of course, I learned back in 2010 that my medical expertise is greatly lacking which almost caused my death. I do bleed like a stuck pig when I get a cut so I keep the necessary bandages in my house and truck just in case I lop of a finger or worse.

REALLY????? The deep end of the pool is where u get experience.....

What is included in a complete thyroid panel?
The Thyroid #4 Comprehensive Blood Test Panel includes a Thyroid Profile with TSH, Tri-iodothyronine (T3) Free Serum, Thyroxine (T4) Free Direct Serum, Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Antibodies, Thyroid Antithyroglobulin Antibody (TAA) plus Reverse T3, Thyroxine-binding Globulin (TBG), Thyroid-stimulating Immunoglobulin (TSI ...

I also ask about my antibodies and the REMAINING values
