If you know exactly how to fix inflation, call me (and by “me,” I mean “Jay Powell”).........

I hate even responding to a VOX article because it's a garbage source, but especially when the OP doesn't give a summary of his/her opinion on said article.

A quick skim revealed some lies and misleading analysis so it's probably not worth the energy, but I will weigh in if you do first HA.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

There are so many strange variables in the current inflation. After a national shutdown, inflation should occur as people return to work and spend. But millions of people are not returning to work. How are they affording to stay home and refuse unemployment? Did a record amount go on disability? Did everyone lose their motivation and move back home? The Fed will just be guessing.

I am not as certain as you seem to be. I could see a recession coming this Autumn. Especially if the Democrats lose power in the House and Senate. The GOP will refuse to approve more extravagant spending bills. Eventually people will go back to work. Already wage increases are slowing.

WEIGHTING IN....we have seen this before, overly optimistic and over estimating the stand out statistics.
The 'Goldilocks economy" is a myth......BUT we still strive to keep the illusion

Sidebar: Germany is no longer buying Russian energy. The grocery store ALDI warned that food prices will rise 30% soon. Time to stock up on canned goods? We are looking at charitable groups we support and are raising our donations 50% to make up for inflation and other donors being unable to make their donations this year.
