Residents of high tax Blue States like Massachusetts and New Jersey used to get their state tax payments compensated by Federal tax rebates. This benefitted the high tax states and especially the rich people of these states who got paid back after buying mansions and paying high state income taxes. Now they can only deduct $10,000.
So Red State residents will no longer bail out those who live in high tax states.
