The second American civil war is already occurring, but it is less of a war than a kind of benign separation analogous to unhappily married people who don’t want to go through the trauma of a formal divorce.

One America is largely urban, racially and ethnically diverse, and young. The other is largely rural or exurban, white and older.

The split is accelerating. Red zip codes are getting redder and blue zip codes, bluer.

This is simple fear mongering by the Guardian that HA was hooked into reading like a largemouth bass. If anything, fewer and fewer Americans are linked to a political party. And more of the public is following the Amber Heard-Johnny Depp trial than concerned about abortion rights. Most Americans are more concerned about supply shortages and inflation and don't even know the name of their congressmen. Highly unlikely they are going to start digging trenches on Crow Hill.

OH BUT, I think u r in error...Rick quoted a verbatim statement on why he wants to ;leave Colorado and is
unhappy at how Colorado has morphed,he wants to be "where people r similar to his mindset".
