DeLorean Motor Company has revealed the first images of the Alpha 5 electric vehicle (EV), the brand’s attempt at resurrecting the DeLorean name in an all-electric form. Staying true to the classic ‘80s-era DeLorean known for its appearance in Back to the Future, the Alpha 5 comes with those iconic gull-wing doors and can reach 60mph in about 2.99 seconds (or 88mph in 4.35 seconds, if you’re curious).

Would love to see those back on the road. They do have a company that restores old Deloreans.

Difficult to do body repair work due to the stainless steel construction. Avoid fender benders was the word of the day.

Yes, because then you have to paint them and make them even more worthless. Hopefully the electric model isn't a turd like it's predecessor. As a car guy, I've always been more impressed with superior engineering and not as much with the looks.

I'm still wondering how soon we'll hit peak EV sales and begin the decline as our fine government continues to strangle the economy. Only the rich and upper middle class (maybe) will be able to buy these EV's unless the Democrats promise to buy everybody one.

Just another fun toy to satisfy the virtue signalling rich liberals. Pass

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Love the gullwing even if it can be a pain to park in urban lots. The Tesla taxi's I saw in Amsterdam had doors that went straight up so it was easy to get in and out on narrow Euro streets.
