PELOSI TO TAIWAN

It appears that Pelosi will visit Taiwan tomorrow. Reports indicate that here plane will be escorted by fighter jets. The Chinese are putting an aircraft carrier in the Straits.
Possible scenario: Chinese jets and U.S. jets intermingle, oops an accident happens. 1. Chinese jet goes down or 2. U.S. jet goes down. What happens next?

UPDATE: (10:17ET): Bloomberg is reporting China has closed airspace above the Taiwan Strait to all civilian aircraft.

China Air raid alarms were also going off yesterday. I predict the Chicoms won't shoot down her plane, just rattle sabers instead, but of course itchy trigger fingers are always a concern.

On Taiwan yes, but also on the US since we have the weakest leadership in the history of this country. Fred, you may think Pelosi going there was a good move, but given our current neutered leaders and weakened military, it’s pretty much a certainty that China will take Taiwan and it’s also a certainty that we will do NOTHING in response.

You never pick fights if you don’t plan on throwing a punch.
