It’s not naive to state the truth, the government does work for us. What’s naive is believing the government that works for us is honest and has our best interests in mind.

I agree 100% about those poor people in Mississippi. Biden just said the Fed govt has done everything it can to help. I haven’t spent much time looking into that one but I suspect there’s much more that can be done. If the governor has failed he needs to pay a price, Republican or not.

It is not a singular governor,it is ALL STATES and the condition of the aging,ancient infrastructure. Do the research, u will find that the MAINTENANCE has been put on the back burner over and over again.start with
road and BRIDGES across this country,find the chart that rates the WORST problems in each state,and there r many. THEN go on to investigate underground pipes that carry sewer and delivery water to u. THEY R LEAD BASED and deteriorating rapidly. The Jacksonville, Miss catastrophe is a CORE EXAMPLE.

Yet your president keeps sending billions to help fight a war that can’t be won. He also wants to pay off a voting block with debt relief that will cost us another trillion. Why no real infrastructure? Could it be because that would help all Americans and.not just voters he needs to pay off?

GEE,let me turn the question back to you....where were the R's in this scenario.....,BOTH PARTIES r guilty of the needless neglect and lack of priorities.. STUDENT LOANS DEFERRED ,THE WASTED WALL,TAX BREAKS FOR THE 1 PERCENT,CHECKS FOR SAVE AMERICA PLAN (or whatever it was called)LAB EXPERIMENTS ON ANIMALS (cloning),there is a list 5 miles long of money that COULD HAVE been allocated for infrastructure and that list goes back for decades.....the result of neglect,eventually bites u in the butt.

Haste made waste

With the economy in free fall, lawmakers and many agencies opted for haste over precision, opening the door for waste, fraud and abuse. For example, the Small Business Administration rescued hundreds of thousands of firms from collapse, but it also sent billions of dollars to firms that probably shouldn’t have obtained the money.

AGAIN,the absurd actions of our gov. puts into question R THEY REALLY WORKING FOR US? NO PET PROJECTS PROFITED,while the nations infrastructure rotted.

Government is corrupt and needs to be trimmed back. They also need to be stripped of many of their powers.
Plus the Government of the City of Jackson is incompetent. Surely you want to put the water system at a high priority.
