History, as in German history? Yeah, it does seem to be repeating, or at least rhyming.

Thus, MAGA Republicanism is not alien to the U.S. It is a descendant of Jim Crow. And its leaders are bringing back the same tactics of voter suppression, attacks on history and education and calls for political violence, using the specter of Black political protest as an existential threat to white America. As with fascist movements in the past, it is harshly anti-LGBTQ and anti-feminist, presenting LGBTQ Americans and abortion rights as threats to “traditional” values.

Perhaps Biden presented MAGA Republicanism, that is, a kind of fascism, as an external threat because he is worried that asking Americans to fully face our past is depressing. I find the opposite to be true.

Wow, what a bunch of broad brush garbage you can’t provide any evidence other than anecdotal cases. The Hitler strategy of branding a huge group of people as the enemy seems to be working well. The difference being the numbers of Trump supporters is much much larger than the number of Jews. At least we still have a way to defend ourselves.

JIM CROWE broad brush bullshit/???? Perhaps a review of that shameful scenario should be researched......it was real and raw and wrong.

Giving a history lesson on oppression is all well and good as long as you realized there has been oppressed people in every country on the planet at one point or another.

I know the history and it never repeats but it does rhyme. Joe and his speech rhymed a lot for me and many others who saw that image and heard those words. That was present day, HA, and present day is what we should all be focused on because the past is only relevant if we are willing to learn from it. Those people who are trying to justify what Joe said obviously don’t know history and certainly never learned anything from it.

Try staying in the present for a while. Look around at what world leaders want for us ( the World Economic Forum would be the best place to start).

LOL. Jim Crow laws were created by Democrats. And just this week, Democrats on Martha's Vineyard were using National Guard troops to round up Latinos. Remember Sundown laws? Democrats also created those. Can't have black and brown people in their privileged community after dark!
