Trading in Twitter stock has been halted as it looks like the South African businessman will buy Twitter at the negotiated price of $54.
If this story holds up, I am really interested to see what he can do with the troubled social media site.
He seems to be a bit of a loose cannon, a mix of liberal on some things, but Libertarian/conservative on other issues.
I hope he makes Twitter bans more non-partisan. And does give blue check status to declared political candidates.
Some conservatives have been noticing during the midterms that Republican candidates have a much harder time getting a blue check than Democrats in the same race.

Why is Elon ready to go at the original price? Because he has been losing the court cases on if Twitter was overstating its value. Buyer beware? He should have done more research, before making the offer, but he seems to be an impulsive individual.
Now comes the second question, does he still have the money to buy Twitter? He has literally lost billions and billions of dollars as the Biden Regency continues to tank the stock market.
Maybe a Tesla-Twitter stock swap?

If Elon Musk buys Twitter, will we see more government regulation of social media? I am already disappointed to see states like Texas wanting to control what is permitted on platforms.
There is supposed to be a liberal alternative to Twitter called Treble. Will lefties flee to this new echo chamber?
