Twitter does not generate profits like Tesla, but the platform is considered the de facto town square of our time, a place where trendsetters and opinion makers meet. Twitter decides the political agenda of the day and the topics of discourse which eventually dominate mainstream media coverage.
Twitter Is the Shiny New Thing

With this power also comes responsibility. Responsibility for the content management policy, which means that you have to be on the alert all the time. Any slippage in the content posted on the platform can cause controversy which may take a lot of time and energy to defuse.

JMO..I think this"bright, shiny thing" will lose it's luster for Elon....a brash decision will come to pass as a "dump the ;problem"debacle.

In other news? Don’t we already have at least 3 Elon Musk threads?

Now there’s a concern about power and responsibility? LOL!!

Where was this concern when Twitter was a shield for leftist propaganda and a partner of the Democrat administration to censor what they deem disinformation?

Really hilarious HA, thank you for the laugh!!

Exactly! When Twitter was run by Jack, it had a policy of closing accounts of new Republicans running for office and also refusing to give them blue checks.

Now that it is more even-handed, liberals are squawking!

Also, let’s remember when the Democrats were saying “ it’s a private company, they can do what they want!”

Musk should go further and give them a taste of their own medicine by banning Biden for all of his lies and divisive speeches.

And btw HA, the opinion of a “journalist” is not “news” and never will be.

Tesla thinks it can solve the problem with a software download. Amazing how tech has advanced.

Yes Mary, there must always be one, lest they have to try to rationalize their policies that hurt Americans.

As for the topic, I just love the irony. The climate alarmists praise Musk and his cars that are going to save the planet. Then he takes away their propaganda tool that’s dressed up as free speech. Next they rejoice at the failures of their favorite car company… ex-favorite. LOL, man this is getting fun!
