The Democrat candidate didn't get 50% of the vote so now her and Sarah will compete in a runoff without Begich, the other Republican in the race. Will Palin be able to win in a one on one race?
Three elections in Alaska in one year for one House seat! The media must love all the spending going on! And Alaska voters must be upset that they still have another month of political ads ahead of them. With how tight the House majority race is right now, expect to see money from other states flowing into the Last Frontier.
Same existence for Georgia? Another month of ads and politicians!
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
As I understand the Alaska ranked voting system, the votes that went to Begich will be examined as to who the 2nd choice is on those ballots. Those votes will then be reallocated. There is a 4th candidate but his votes regardless of what the 2nd choice was are insufficient in numbers to affect the result.
The final result will be announced 11/23.
This system, to my mind, gives the supporter of the lesser candidate a 2nd chance to vote.
The latest standings.......Palin was NEVER going to go the distance, her name is equal to p.o.s.
Murkowski and a native D won.....Palin,as predicted, went down in flames....Trump's backing, back fired on him to such a degree that it is hilarious.......WHAT DOES THAT TELL U?.
