For many voters, support for legalized abortion changed the election from a referendum on Democratic control of Washington into more of a choice between the two parties.
The democrats will most assuredly pass a national abortion law and it will bee struck down in the courts. This will be done to keep the issue alive (pardon the pun) into the 2024 election.
The bill most likely will originate in the House and it will be similar to Colorado's law. Why not? It may be Petersen's first piece of legislation.
If the Republicans retake the House it will be tabled in committee.
Maybe the Democrats won because a cyber criminal robbed his clients to finance the election for the DNC. He was the 2nd largest donor to the Democrats after George Soros.
