The last time a vote for speaker went to multiple ballots on the House floor was in 1923. The longest was 133 ballots over two months.
Bet it doesn't happen. Pelosi was supposed to be in danger a couple years ago but her opponent was just too radical. McCarthy isn't my favorite, but his presumed opponents don't look strong enough.
