So, what are the “policy priorities” for the Republican Party in 2020?
It would appear from the resolution that in the context of a pandemic, recession, social inequity, and climate crisis the party’s policy is simply:
“RESOLVED, That the Republican Party has and will continue to enthusiastically support the President’s America-first agenda.”
It is hard to read this “platform” as anything other than “we stand for whatever Donald Trump wants.” And we know how Donald Trump interprets such a blank check. At an April 13, 2020 press conference discussing COVID-19 he told us:
“When somebody is the president of the United States, the authority is total and that’s the way it’s got to be…It’s total.”
WELL NOW.......I would have to say COVID WAS THE CORE CATASTROPHIC lack of courage....as I recall, VERY FEW (if any) were willing to be upfront and "out" TRUMP'S bullshit about opening up for Easter and it will be gone, just like that....TRUMP OPENLY told Woodward that he wanted to down play the pandemic because he did not want to panic the public,,, READ BAD PRESS FOR MY RE ELECTION,AND/OR ADMINSTRATION
Of course you want to play down the pandemic. Would you have preferred President Hillary Clinton locking down the nation for two complete years "just-in-case"?
No one knew back then how deadly the virus would be, or what strategies would work best to contain it. Luckily less than one percent of Americans did die from Covid-19 that arrived from Chinese gain of function research.
Right now the Biden Administration is playing down inflation concerns. If they instead gave accurate numbers on how much American's purchasing power was declining, we would be seeing more strikes.

Homeagain, I'd respectfully ask you to carefully re-read the title of this thread. Here's an example:
I think we can agree that Hitler was an extremist, yes? As an extremist, he had extremist views about Jews, basically saying they were not human and should be slaughtered. He wasn't an extremist because he made decisions that may or may not have been successful and correct.
If you want to list Trump'e extremist policies that harmed the country, please list them. I would make sure our current disaster of a president isn't guilty of the same alleged act of "extremism". Also remember, if the majority of elected representatives and their voters reject alleged extremism, then you can't logically condemn the whole. Take a look at your party and ask yourself how many extreme and radical policies do you see.... if any. I'm going to share my personal opinion, (without a random journalist as my co-writer), and give you my list of Democrat extremism. I think my first will have something to do with the harming of children... which is the definition of extreme.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
1. Close the border to illegal aliens.
2. Prosecute SBF (Samuel Bankman-Fried) and require the recipients of donations to repay the creditors.
3. Stop funding the proxy war in Ukraine.
