Great point. Menendez has been convicted of more than Santos and he still has his job. Despite New Jersey being Deep Blue and the Democrat governor could just replace him with another Democrat but instead the DNC let's him continue to be an agent for a foreign government. Probably why they just wink about what Hunter and Joe have done with China and Ukraine.

No conviction with a stack of evidence, yet George Santos gets booted for lying. As with all Democrat criminals, we have to assume he's innocent until the evidence is so overwhelming that they finally have to do something. Democrats band together and protect their criminals because not doing so would hurt them all, especially in an election year. Establishment Republicans are too weak to play the same game and therefore lose seats when they are needed the most.

The resolution passed 311 to 114, with 105 Republicans voting with the overwhelming majority of Democrats in favor of expulsion.
The New York Republican has separately pleaded not guilty to 23 federal charges, including allegations of fraud related to Covid-19 unemployment benefits, misusing campaign funds and lying about his personal finances on House disclosure reports.
In addition to the legal issues he faces, Santos has sparked shock and controversy on Capitol Hill over revelations that he fabricated large parts of his life story, including significant elements of his resume and biography.
A number of Republicans who previously did not support Santos’ expulsion said they would vote to expel him as a result of the Ethics panel’s findings, though it was not clear ahead of the vote if there would be enough support to oust the congressman.
House Ethics panel investigated Santos. Their conclusion is what pushed Republicans to expel him.
Menendez has been indicted, but not convicted. As far as I can tell, he has not been investigated by Congress.
Aren't you the one, Rick, that has been spouting "innocent until proven guilty?" If Menendez is found guilty of his crimes, then he should certainly be expelled. If he is investigated by Congress and their findings are similar to Santos, then he should be expelled.
The federal judge overseeing the case against Sen. Bob Menendez, his wife and three others set a trial date for May 6 – less than a month before the New Jersey senate primary.
Stein told the parties that he would “certainly try to hold to these dates” after setting out the trial schedule and urged prosecutors to get discovery in the case to the defense teams.
These scumbags do what they do because they know they are on the side of no accountability.
