Political Donations Pay Off!

California passed a law that raised fast food wages to $20 an hour. Panera Bread restaurants are big donors to Governor Newsom. So he added an amendment so restaurants would be exempt if they sold bread. So expect to see McDonald's toast for sale, and Taco Bell Tortas.

Is there a restaurant that does not offer bread?

Restaurants who bake their own get a pass, and coincidentally, that's what Panera does. There better be lawsuits by restaurants who don't qualify. Amazing how brazen these Democrats are these days.

Very narrow window to avoid the higher wages. Had to start baking bread last September, when Panera started.
Please judges, invalidate this exemption.

Next they will start taxing restaurants who sell beef and give breaks to those who sell crap like cricket burgers.
