A true lion of the Senate, much smarter than President Biden and understood politics so much better. Worked so well with Republicans that the Democrats in his state replaced him with a radical. Joe went on to win multiple terms as an independent.
Sidebar: Joe was only one year older than Joe Biden. It is crazy that both parties have nominated a 77 year old and an 81 year old to be President. According to actuarial tables, neither man should survive their second term.
Would love to see conventions that replace them both.

Joe was a good and principled man. I didn't agree with many of his positions but I did agree on some of them. I can't think of many politicians I would care about if they died, but for some weird reason I do feel sad today.
