It’s not as much about what they take, but what they spend the taxes on. Imagine how much those countries at the top of the list would have to tax if they were 100% responsible for their own defense like we are. We spill blood and treasure for every country that needs it but there’s nobody to bail us out if we ever need help. We protect the world, take in and feed, house, educate and medicate the world’s poor, and some wonder why we don’t all get ‘free’ healthcare.
Now our debt is costing us more than social security and our military combined.
