Are Denver and Aurora doing enough to protect the citizens of Colorado? It seems like they are more concerned with their public image than the safety of their citizens.

Police chief says Colorado apartment not being 'taken over' by Venezuelan gang despite viral images
The Edge at Lowry Apartments in Aurora, Colorado has not been "taken over" by gang members, Interim Aurora Police Chief Heather Morris said in a video shared Aug. 30 by the department on Facebook.
"We've been talking to the residents here and learning from them to find out what exactly is going on, and there's definitely a different picture," Morris said in the video. "I'm not saying that there's not gang members that don't live in this community."

So what is the truth, Fred? Have you researched it, or are you blindly swallowing the current media story? Perhaps it is an attempt, by slumlords, to get tenants to move out so they can convert to condos?
I haven't formed an opinion yet, but I tend to believe media likes to over dramatize crime stories especially if they have good video. And showing illegal alien members of a gang in the apartment building armed with long arms would seem to prove their point.
Of course the mayor can also make a valid point that 97% of the apartment buildings aren't occupied by foreign gang members. And leftist media can also make the point that slum lords who own the building have failed to keep it up. Emptying these apartment buildings gives good video for the media, but does it really solve the problem? Will the gangs just move to other complexes?
And almost forgot, some gang leaders have been arrested. If only Biden hadn't flown them in earlier in his term, right?

For the past week, Donald Trump has been repeating the same story about a Venezuelan gang supposedly taking over a residential building in Colorado—but everyone, from the residents to the police, says that the story is complete fiction.
Residents of The Edge at Lowry Apartments in Aurora, Colorado, held a press conference Tuesday to hit back at right-wing claims that their building has been taken over by a violent Venezuelan gang.
On Monday, Coffman, following up on his blatant fearmongering, also visited The Edge and said that although conditions were bad, residents weren’t afraid of gang violence. Instead, they just wanted the building to be maintained. He baselessly suggested that the building was run down because management had been “chased” off the premises.
During their press conference to set the record straight, Edge residents disputed the right-wing claims that their building had been taken over by a Venezuelan gang. Residents said that they were living in uninhabitable conditions as a result of neglect from CBZ Management, which was also responsible for another Aurora building where there was a mass eviction last month, according to Denver7.
