The change happened through our schools. What have children been taught since those days?
America is bad
Gender can be changed at will for any reason
People should be judged by the color of their skin before the content of their character
CO2 is a toxic gas (except plants love it)
It's ok for biological men to compete against women in sports and use the women's locker room
There should be no restrictions on when an unborn human can be killed
Standards should be lower in all fields for the sake of DEI
Pornography is everywhere, including in libraries
Young girls are taught that being a mother isn't the pinnacle of happiness, a successful career is.
I guess I'm a bit confused . . . I didn't realize the purpose of remaking a classic film was to alter the story being told by the original version. Silly me thought it was to expose new generations to the stories told to earlier generations.
I mean, I guess it escaped my attention that the story being told in "A Star Is Born" changed, or was supposed to change, depending upon whether you were watching the one made in 1937, 1954, 1976, or 2018.
I like to be in America
Okay by me in America
Everything free in America
For a small fee in America
Buying on credit is so nice
One look at us and they charge twice
I have my own washing machine
What will you have not to keep clean
Skyscrapers bloom in America
Cadillacs zoom in America
Industry boom in America
Twelve in a room in America
Lots of new housing with more space
Lots of doors slamming in our face
I'll get a terrace apartment
Better get rid of your accent
Life can be bright in America
If you can fight in America
Life is all right in America
If you're a white in America
Here you are free and you have pride
Long as you stay on your own side
Free to be anything you choose
Free to wait tables and shine shoes
OK - and what has changed about the immigrants who come to America whether one is talking about the Irish, or the Italians, the Puerto Ricans, the Mexicans, the Vietnamese, the Cubans, the Somalis?
That is what every immigrant wave of America has endured when the people who are abandoning one country where they are poor and uneducated to come to America for a chance at a better life for their posterity.
That's the cost of coming here with absolutely nothing more than the clothes on your back and a few dollars in your pocket and functionally illiterate. Your first jobs are going to be low paying, entry level jobs when you are poor and uneducated regardless of what color your skin is or what language you speak.
'' poor and uneducated to come to America for a chance at a better life for their posterity''. U ASSUME uneducated, there r many from other countries, with a professional degree...doctors and scientists who abandoned their careers to REMAIN ALIVE.,color of skin does matter , u can deny all u want ,but there is ALWAYS the presents of discrimination.JMO.
