Im confused. Are you happy that Colorado is like California? And Fred is right, you still will be able to kill your baby, there’s just different rules depending on what state you live in. That’s how it works when we DON’T live in a democracy.
If you don’t like that Colorado is like California, you should consider not voting for that reality.
There were a few purple spots on the State ballot issues . . . no bail for those accused of first degree murder, longer sentences before parole for convicted violent criminals, no ban on hunting mountain lions, and, best of all, no rank choice voting to pollute our election laws like the ones that exist in CA.
Small victories to be sure, but an indication that Colorado isn't beyond salvage quite yet . . . all we need is a competent leadership for the opposition party to get the ball rolling downhill.
The one problem they're going to have with the elective homicide amendment will be when the people who voted for it start having to pay for it since, along with enshrining the right to terminate a pregnancy at any time prior to delivery, the amendment repeals the ban on State and local governments funding the procedure. I don't think most of the useful idiots who bought into the fear mongering used to garner support for the amendment read the full text of what they were agreeing to.
