It worked well for Biden, why not for her too . . .
She's been haunting the halls of Congress for what, 4 decades now give or take a term?
That's the one bill I'd like to see this next Congress vote on . . . term limits for Congress. I know, I know, the voters can oust their representative at the next election if they are unhappy, but the same arguments for passing the 22nd Amendment apply to Congress critters.
Some districts are going to be won by a Republican or a Democrat regardless of who is on the ballot, CO4 and Boebert come to mind, along with DeGette (and Schroeder, ) in CO1. I think the last time a Republican represented CO1 was when Nixon was president, and it was for only 2 years, otherwise the streak would go back to at least Truman's time, but I digress.
One person in the same office for an extended period of time is a breeding ground for consolidation and abuse of power, period. Can we agree that 10 terms in the House and 3 in the Senate is sufficient time in office for any politician? Anything beyond that is about wielding power in the chamber, not service to the citizens of their district or State. With an incumbent success rate exceeding 90% these days, something has to be done. I don't care if Denver sends a Democrat to Congress for the next 100 years . . . what I object to is that 100 years being divvied up between 2 or 3 individuals.
