The town board voted to let JeffCo handle law enforcement in the community.
They used to have quite the reputation for excessive speeding tickets on both C-470 and 285 in Turkey Creek Canyon but eventually a judge decided that wasn't their jurisdiction. The community did have issues retaining police officers after the ACAB riots.

When I was younger and lived in Conifer, my 67 Mustang must have triggered the Morrison cops quite often because I was issued many tickets, all at Turkey Creek canyon. First and last place I was ever ticketed for going about 10 mph or less over the limit. I couldn’t care less now, but it does make me happy to hear this.
