Actually sounds like he was having a mental breakdown. He started shaking when questioned at the McDonald's and he looks like he wet his pants.
Supposedly his back damage was so bad, he could no longer have sex.

So he's 26 . . . which means he just started having to cover his own costs with regards to healthcare and insurance, though I'm sure his family would have been more than happy to contribute.
Anyone want to guess what company he used for insurance after injuring his back in Hawaii? Haven't seen anything on that yet, but if he was personally having issues with coverage for his back injury, it might explain why he chose to assassinate the CEO of United Healthcare.
Kept the gun, kept the fake ID, kept his "manifesto" . . . sounds like someone who is trying to figure out "adulting" for the first time in their life to me . . . no real problem solving skills that are apparent in his actions.
Is anyone able to explain to me why a man who obviously planned an assassination on a NYC street is being charged with 2nd degree murder? This is the same place that came up with a novel way to charge Trump with felony violations of a law based on misdemeanor violations of the law that had reached the statute of limitations before any charges were filed after all.
Are you telling me that Bragg doesn’t think that he can make a 1st degree murder charge stick for an assassin who manufactured their own firearm, created numerous false IDs, lied in wait for their victim, shot them in the back and then closed on them to ensure their death?
New York State has a wierd rule that only killing police officers will get you a charge of 1st degree murder. People were really upset when Mark David Chapman didn't get a 1st degree charge for killing John Lennon.
Surprised they never changed this.
