Stuck his nose into a few things he probably shouldn't have with regards to Middle East diplomacy after his time in the Oval Office, but yes, I would have to say that he handled himself as a statesman should and served his legacy and this Union well when his advice or help was sought by those that followed him in the office.
Read a piece by one of Carter's Secret Service agents that said Jimmy cursed like a sailor at times. Funny, just doesn't seem like something he would be capable of.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
Given that he WAS a sailor who served in both the Atlantic and Pacific fleets, part of those tours aboard nuclear submarines, I don't find it surprising at all.
My Pa was a Navy vet from the Korean War. Worst thing I ever heard him say was "Oh for crying out loud", prior to reaching an age where I was helping him work on the family cars and going big game hunting with him that is. Never, not once, prior to his battle with cancer, did I ever hear him use blue language in mixed company or when there were young children around. Never, not even one time.
Same with my mom . . . never heard a blue word out of her until her youngest child turned 21. Time and place . . . separates the adults in the room from the pretenders.
Given Biden ordered all flags at half mast for the next 30 days it would've happened regardless of Polis weighing in. All in all, I think 30 days is a fitting tribute for one of our deceased presidents.

On the other hand, if Trump hadn't turned his head and had his brains spread amongst the crowd, the left would have been cheering (not publicly of course) and i highly doubt flags would have been at half staff for even a day. After all, why would anyone mourn Hitler, the guy that is going to end democracy?
Carter was a good man and deserves to be honored. He wasn't a great president imo, but compared to Biden, he looks like Washington. Carter didn't use his influence to scoop up millions from corrupt and enemy countries, and unlike the Obama's, he decided to help people instead of helping themselves to riches they think they deserve. Nope, Carter was the first and last Democrat president (in my lifetime) to NOT use his position to enrich his family.
RIP Mr. President
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
