[/b]Arab leaders in the region have said efforts to displace Palestinians or move them into neighboring countries are a non-starter. Egypt and Jordan, countries with peace treaties with Israel, oppose absorbing Palestinians claiming it poses a security risk, is destabilizing, and threatens to provoke mass opposition.
Jordan already houses around 3 million Palestinians, many of whom have already been displaced by previous war.
Foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and a senior Palestinian official wrote to Secretary of State Marco Rubio this week outlining their concerns.
“Not only will such a move be a clear violation of international law. It will be a threat to regional stability and security,” the ministers wrote. “Palestinians do not want to leave their land. We support their position unequivocally. Such a move will further compound the challenge of the refugees’ problem.”
Sometimes there is the official story and also the real answer.
Jordan was created and accepted Palestinian refugees who fled Israel in 1948. Egypt and Syria had told them to flee Israel because they were going to destroy the nation and then they could resettle the area.
Turns out Egypt and Syria lost. The Palestinian refugees fled to Jordan who accepted them at great personal cost. The Palestinians repaid the gracious gesture by trying to overthrow the Jordanian Hashemite monarchy. Why Palestinians are not being accepted by other Arab countries.

Boring and not worth discussing.

the title of the topic says it all.....i EXPECT THE MOB BOSS TO assume it is his way or the hyway......WRONG assumption....how many countries does he think he can "overtake or rule? THE END RESULT....REVOLT...the mentality of this scenario shows a very stark picture of just how "MENTALITY
DEFICIENT TRUMP IS....HE BELIEVES HE IS A CZAR TO THE WORLD.....remember, ONLY HE CAN FIX IT...that should have been your first clue....
A fresh take on how to solve the perpetual problems festering since the end of at least WW I isn't necessarily a bad thing. Might not be the best idea, but it's a least a fresh take on getting the issues resolved that started with the League of Nations carving up the old Ottoman Empire.

REALLY...HERE IS WHAT THE REST OF THE WORLD THINKS.....
It's an outside the box thought on how to end the madness in Gaza . . . something to start a conversation around how can it be rebuilt in a way where everyone prospers. Yeah, it's squirrely, probably unworkable, but its a fresh idea that can be the springboard to something that works for everyone in the region long term.
And that, after all is ultimate goal, right? To get Gaza rebuilt and to defuse the hostility so that neighbors can find a way to peacefully coexist. Israel isn't about to let Gaza be rebuilt in a manner that allows it to hide missiles and arms below hospitals and schools and subject its citizens to random, violent, attacks from that area. Ain't going to happen, so a different path has to be found.
Right now Gaza is naught but rubble and misery for anyone living there, and that can't be allowed to continue either. And since both Israel and Gaza have demonstrated they are incapable of finding a way to peacefully coexist, that will only happen with the participation of others in the process.
But make no mistake, when push comes to shove the US will always have Israel's back. That might be the only reason that Israel hasn't been wiped off the map already. We'll always back Israel the way we've always backed France in thanks for them having our back at the dawn of our republic, or Great Britain post War of 1812. There are historic friendships we will not eschew, and Israel is one of them.
Well said. This would be what HA would call “forward thinking”, as long as it doesn’t have anything to do with Trump. A land controlled by terrorists will never have a chance to see peace. Maybe this experiment would work with other countries joining in. I see nothing wrong with thinking outside the box for once.
As our wise Kamala would say, “unburdened by what has been”.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

OH MY, isn't that what TRUMP just proposed? that they should leave and depart from the rubble and ruin of their home? I see your post got sent to the RING....my b.p. is just fine, thank you for your concern.
