As members of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency have fanned out across the government in recent days, attention has focused on the young Silicon Valley engineers who are wielding immense power in the new administration.

But ProPublica has identified three lawyers with elite establishment credentials who have also joined the DOGE effort.

Two are former Supreme Court clerks — one clerked for Chief Justice John Roberts, another for Justice Neil Gorsuch — and the third has been selected to be a Gorsuch clerk for the 2025-2026 term.

Two of the lawyers’ names have not been previously reported as working for DOGE.

All three — Keenan Kmiec, James Burnham and Jacob Altik — have DOGE email

Only now are Democrats asking who is actually president.
They didn't give a darn who was the unvetted person actually running the White House when the hospice patient Biden was in the Oval Office for his customary three hours a day.

The best presidents are the ones who know how to bring in the best staff and delegate positions to them. Elon Musk? Everything he touches has been a success. E-Bay, PayPal, SpaceX, he probably does a good job too of bringing in the right people. Or in Twitters case, eliminating 70% of the deadwood.

Of course there will be differences of opinion between the two men. Right now Trump is supporting a cybercurrency that Musk doesn't like. Lincoln even created a cabinet of rivals and that worked out for him.

Who elected these guys?
