Government Shutdown 2024?

Currently the new pork bill was written by Republicans only but still spends like the Covid-19 years.

A few fiscal conservatives refuse to sign on. Moderate Democrats will help pass a bill they get to write part of.

Will this happen or not?

Do you really think a bill that has Democrat fingerprints on it will have less spending?

Wow! Chuck Schumer is willing to vote for the Republican Bill!
Says a shutdown would just give Trump more power.

Hickenlooper said he wouldn't. Will he be convinced by Chuck to keep the US Government going?

They only need maybe 25% of the Democrats in the Senate to vote in favor to pass the bill. Schumer and Fetterman get them 20% of the way there, and I'm sure that there are enough Democrats in the Senate on record saying there is never a good reason to shut down the government that they can find another 8 to get it passed.

Democrats are once again in a no win situation, when it comes to hurting Trump anyway. They're frustration level must be peaking right now. My advice to them is to just step away from the microphone for a while and let Trump play his hand. They risk burning the very last of their credibility if they keep screaming hysterically... if Trump's actions start to help Americans, even is it's slow but steady progress, the Democrats are going to look very foolish and there's no way they will have a chance in 2028.
