Trump Defends Tariff Flip-Flops As ‘Negotiations’—Here Are The 21 Times He’s Changed His Mind

'NEGOTIATIONS'''......IF A CAR SALESPERSON DEALT WITH U LIKE THIS OR A POTENTIAL BUYER OF YOUR HOME CAME TO THE TABLE WITH THIS,WOULD U CONTINUE COMMUNICATIONS??? I KNOW PEOPLE WHO TRIED THIS WITH A SELLER AND THE SELLER AND THE REALTOR 'GHOSTED' THEM. AND THEN THEY WERE CONFUSED WHY COMMUNICATION WAS CUT OFF. I, PERSONALLY, WOULD SHUT DOWN THE DEAL IMMEDIATELY.....BUT YET, HERE WE R WITH A ERRATIC.,EGOCENTRIC,ELITIST WHO THINKS ''THE ART OF THE DEAL'
IS TO PISS PEOPLE OFF....MAY HAVE WORKED IN HIS BUSINESS ARENA,BUT ON A GLOBAL SCALE IT WILL BACK FIRE...BUT THE CZAR ,WHO THINKS"'ONLY I CAN FIX IT".....IS BECOMING A LIABILITY AND HIS MAGA BASE IS SAYING ''BIG TALK,NOW WHERE IS THE BIG ACTION."......THEY R GETTING 'ANTSY' AND WANT TO SEE PROMISES MADE...FULFILLED. OH, U MEAN I ACTUALLY HAVE TO PROVIDE A
PROOF POSITIVE PERFORMANCE???? WAIT AND WATCH.......(oh, there is that redundant remark again)

An appeals court has let Trump's tariffs stand for now. The Donald increases steel tariffs from 25% to 50%.

The "Art of the Deal" is to start off asking for more than you know you're going to wind up with. For a seller, that's a price that is higher than they will sell at, for the buyer its a lower price than they will be willing to offer. Back and forth it goes until one side reaches their bottom line to make the deal. Sometimes that means walking away from the deal entirely.

Take Trump Tower in Manhattan for example. The hotel next door owned the "sky" view when Trump bought the property. Trump took in a beautiful skyscraper design, which the hotel would have to concede their "sky view" to allow it to be built, and an ugly utilitarian design that he was willing to plunk down right next to the hotel if they were unwilling to cede the "sky view". Guess which one was built HA . . . sometimes, in the art of the deal, you have to compromise beyond what you were initially willing to accept because failure to do so will be more of a detriment than making the deal.

We've all been in such situations . . . no one, except sufferers of TDS, are surprised when the side that has to concede more than it initially considered is the side Trump is sitting on. Inflation is lower now than it has been in over 4 years. WaPo is reporting a "mysterious" drop in the amount of fentanyl being smuggled across the border, they can't seem to understand why the smuggling has dropped about 50% year over year recently. There are a number of countries which have reduced/eliminated tariffs on US imported goods, there are some which are still battling, but all of them generally realize they need our consumers more than we need their goods, and that the best way to avoid any impact of tariffs is to expand their manufacturing inside of our borders. Nippon Steel just announced a $14 billion investment in US Steel . . . but it's staying a US company, whereas before Trump involved himself in the mix, US Steel was talking about either being bought out by Nippon Steel or ceasing operations.

Lots and lots of good to go with the occasional, and perhaps temporary, setbacks . . . that's truly where the rubber meets the road.

AND THAT IS THE POINT,SORRY U MISSED THE INTENT......U GIVE ME A FAIR OFFER,UP FRONT
AND BOTH SIDES AVOID THE BULLSHIT ,SEAL THE DEAL AND MOVE ON.....PLAYING THE GAME
IS AN EXERCISE IN BULLSHIT...UNLESS THAT IS HOW U GET YOUR KICKS(SATISFACTION).... AGAIN,I HAVE BOUGHT AND SOLD 8 HOUSES IN OUR 36 YEARS OF MARRIAGE.....U COME IN YANKING ME AROUND,U R HISTORY.....I DON;T PLAY THE GAME. MAKE A REASONABLE OFFER AND RESPECT THE OTHER SIDE....THE OTHER SIDE FOLLOWS YOUR LEAD,IF THEY REALLY WANT THE HOUSE(DEAL) THEY WILL PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS......AND EVERYONE WALKS AWAY FEELING THEY WON.

What baffles me about you, HA, is that you still seem to be completely unaware of all the news that is relevant to this topic. That tells me you still live comfortably in the leftist bubble that didn't mention Biden's mental and physical issues that were evident to anyone that was conscious and could see.

I always thought the most most important measure of success would be the results, rather than the method. Your sources are not willing to tell you this, but the Atlanta Fed is predicting a 4.7 growth rate in Q2. Who knows if that will be accurate, but it tells me it will be at least 3%. (unless another convenient Covid bomb drops) Maybe my memory isa little fuzzy, but I seem to recall several of your posts talking recession and stock market crashes. I consume your garbage news because I want to know how you think and why. Your sources only talk economics and tariffs if they think it's bad news. The funny thing is, they're not bright enough to know anything about trade and economics, because they are just glorified actors playing their parts... and you just love to gobble up their bullshit. You're gonna get too full at some point and you'll be forced to purge it all and start looking for the truth.

I just watched Chuck Todd blaming the Biden staffers for lying about Biden's mental and physical health, as if he was someone like you who was shielded from Biden's verbal "issues" and all the times he was lost and zoned out. Stop believing these people, especially those who write articles that are never followed by retractions when they are wrong.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Europe zone inflation is lower than the 2.2% they wanted.

As bad as America looks economically, the rest of the world looks worse.
