Problem being, I never said I believed Trump was being 100% truthful, or that the federal government wasn't a serial dispenser of propaganda (Biden is fine, Hunter's laptop is Russian disinformation, Affordable Care Act will save families money and if you like your plan, you can keep your plan).

What I did note was that you were willing to swallow down the official, communist, summary as wholly valid without a second thought even though history has shown us that the truth and a communist government don't even have a casual relationship, must less an intimate one.

I don't think Trump is any more truthful than his predecessors (Biden, Obama) ever were, but neither do I think he lies with greater frequency than his predecessors did. How do you know if a politician is lying? They're talking. That's true regardless of party, regardless of ideology. The difference between us HA is that I don't believe any of them, but you'll believe anything so long as it feeds your TDS. But I do know this . . . there wouldn't be plans for mutual state visits if the trade talks with China were on the verge of falling apart after their latest conversation. And I do wholeheartedly believe that the reason there are mutual state visits in the works is so that the two leaders can talk face to face to finalize the deal. Could it still fall apart? Of course it could . . . but that's not the current trajectory.

On that point, yes, I believe Trump more than the communist government of China. Know why? Trump's a deal maker, always has been. Might not get everything he wants every time, but he gets most of what he wants most of the time, and he'll get most of what he wants this time too . . . because that's what he does, its what he's always done. I'd like you to tell me one new trade agreement that Trump has made, in either term, that leaves the US in a worse position than the one they started in. Still predicting failure when Trump has had more successes in this short a period than any other president in our lifetime and it will likely never be beat. Unlike past presidents, Trump is doing EXACTLY what he promised the American people he would do... and he's been talking about the tariff problem for decades, while the people we voted for just keep letting the imbalance slide. Now he's got the balls to do something about it, and experts like HA think they know better. I'd much rather have a president that makes the attempt to help his country rather than one like Biden who only cared about what was in it for him and his corrupt family.

If Trump only got us a 5% overall deal between all the countries, that's a win. I think it will be significantly more. Inflation is falling, 139,000 non government jobs added in May, the Atlanta Fed predicting a 4.6 GDP in the 3rd quarter I believe..... but people like HA are praying everything falls apart, because they have to. Remember Global Warming? Scientists predicted a wide path of future forecasts. The press printed the ones that were most catastrophic.
