Now the CBO is saying Trump's bill will will decrease the deficit by 1.8 trillion!

We have to spend outrageous amounts to save trillions?

Individual welfare spending (and yes, that includes Social (in)Security and Medicare) represents nearly 60% of the annual federal budget. The amount of federal borrowing in past years represents the remaining 40% of spending that comprises the actual operation of the federal government.

We are literally borrowing money to pay the interest due on the money we've already borrowed at this point. Servicing the debt is costing us more than the cost of our military.

If we want a balanced federal budget, that means that federal charity money, individual welfare spending, has to decrease, drastically. Waste, fraud and abuse has to be rooted out in every department, eligibility standards need to be tightened, lots of people have to lose access to benefits so that only those who are truly indigent through no fault of their own, which excludes anyone convicted of a crime, any household without a single productive member of our society, any individual who has a primary addiction that needs to be fed.

We aren't going to be able to find a 40% reduction in spending to balance the federal budget from the 40% of the spending on the operation of the federal government, it simply can't happen. 60% of the savings has to come from 60% of the spending, 40% of the savings needs to come from 40% of the spending. As long as we have individual welfare spending, 60% of the federal budget, on autopilot, we are going to have massive deficits. Those receiving our taxpayer funded charity need to demonstrate on a regular and continuing basis, including annual background checks and mandatory random drug tests, that they are truly needing, and deserving, of the money taken from our citizens under penalty of law that they might otherwise use to provide for themselves and their family.

I don't care if cannabis is legal in Colorado. If you're on SNAPS, unemployment insurance, rent subsidy, disability, utility reductions, or any of the other taxpayer funded charity programs you need to be drug free. The money you spend on getting stoned could otherwise be used to reduce your financial burden on your fellow citizens who are taxed to supply you with charity money. If you're in the working age group, then you need to have a job. I don't care if that job pays minimum wage, you need to humble yourself and find a job to assist the taxpayer who is providing the charity you are receiving.

n addition to your job, you need to provide some level of public service in exchange for the charity you receive, something along the lines of what our citizen soldiers are required to perform, one weekend a month, two weeks a year, doing something which betters the life of the people whose tax dollars are providing the money for your charity with their work. Picking up trash in the parks and neighborhoods, cleaning up the graffiti,

There is simply no way to balance the federal budget without deep cuts to the individual welfare spending of the federal government, can't be done without them.

Fourth turning my ass. We have this problem because voters don't care about it. Not enough people go to the primaries to vote out the dinosaurs that learned how to get rich using our money. Politicians know not to talk about cutting our spending in a real way because that means cutting entitlements, and the people don't want that. Our only hope to slow it down is to supercharge the economy for a long time, but the crash is coming regardless. Democrats want to spend 100 trillion to convert the country to a green fantasy. If they take the house in the midterms, the chance to slow the crash will be lost.

On a related note, I just purchased another years worth of food and more stuff that makes noise.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
