A couple questions for you, Fred. First of all, do you support taxpayer subsidies for EV's, and if so, why?
Secondly, when it comes to the cuts you and I would like to see, how would Trump pull that off without losing the midterms and handing the House to Democrats? Please give details because I'm very curious. I like Rand Paul and Musk, but I haven't heard them talking about the path that doesn't lead to Democrats gaining power at a critical time when they should have no power.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
1) I do not support taxpayers giving me a rebate to buy and electric car or an electric bicycle.
2) Sure about the GOP losing the midterms if they don't increase spending? Could go the other way. If I, a fiscal conservative, see that the Republicans are going to spend more than the Democrats, why should I vote or donate to GOP candidates?
I am willing to take a half a Loaf, I am not willing to worsen the national debt.

I don't think enough could be cut to make a significant difference at this point, but I do think we have a chance to turn the country around and get us into a position where cuts become possible. Trump didn't create the mess we are in and he won't be able to fix it. The people need to wake up first.

If Trump's bill passes, he might lost the support and donations of many fiscal conservative voters.
I guess you don't mind increasing the deficit.
Tell me, Fred, what is the move Trump could make without handing the midterms to the Democrats? I asked you before and you never answered. I've been saying for years that we are in a debt spiral and my children are going to suffer for it, but the next 4 years are critical and can not be controlled by the people who really do want to bankrupt the country. Growing the economy will outweigh anything we could realistically cut, given the thin majority.
Tell me how your ideal scenario would look, Fred.

Spending with baseline budgeting it set to increase automatically every year. This year we don't increase it under my plan. Let the bureaus themselves decide what they should cut.
Unfortunately Congress loves making those decisions themselves so they can hand out pork to their districts. Boeing deliberately has assembly plants all over the country in order to get more defense contracts.
You are right, there is no hope. Too much of spending is on autopilot and no one is willing to see their departments cut.
In fact, bureaucrats deliberately cut the money to the most public of projects in order to demand more funding like forest fire efforts.
So you are happy that Republicans who aren't fiscal conservatives are in control? Lite Democrats?
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
No, I’m not happy with the Republicans who act like or always end up helping Democrats. Rand Paul could be president and he wouldn’t do any better if we’re talking about the long term big p picture.
But again, what could Trump do at this point other than help the economy grow? Why is it his fault that the American people and the people they vote for have no stomach for cutting into the biggest drains on revenue? A financial crisis will come, but it will be easier to deal with if the US has stronger economically and we are no longer importing millions of poor people.
