The Big Beautiful Bill adds too much to the deficit. Democrats? Think it needs to add even more than Republicans do.

Cutting must happen but we can’t cut enough to stop the death spiral. We need to grow the economy longer than one election cycle, which means Democrats can never hold power again. A guy can dream…

It is just like a household where both the husband and wife continue to go out and spend but refuse to look at the monthly statements.

Simply unsustainable.

This is the fault of the American people. For decades we’ve allowed the government to expand like the Blob and consume our tax dollars for bullshit and fraud.

Again, pick your dream president and tell me how he or she could fix this. If we can’t get the House and Senate to make real cuts (they all want to keep their cushy jobs), the only other play is to make doing business in America as appealing as possible, and that’s what Trump is doing.

Your husband and wife analogy is accurate, but they could also get higher paying jobs if they are not willing to stop their excessive spending. Doing both would be ideal, but that doesn’t work in government where the people in charge are incentivized by their constituents to keep the funds flowing.

And the press doesn't help. Anytime a bureau's budget doesn't increase the media describes it as they are being stripped to the bone! Often including a soundbite from a screaming Democrat politician.
