I know so many veterans who paid a hard price for serving in places like Grenada and Normandy.
We didn't need to free France from the Nazi's, but I was there a few years ago and the owner of the Cafe on Normandy Beach says his neighbors still love Americans decades later for paying with their lives.
And I know a Vietnamese boat person who runs a lawn service who still is thankful that not only did US Marines try to save his nation from communists, they extracted him out and gave him American citizenship. His children are college graduates and proud Americans.
