The first is from the talk she gave at the University of Chicago Law School in May of 2013, the other is referenced in the quote, from a talk given in 1992 at New York University. You should read both, they are highly illuminating with regard to Ginsburg's thoughts on the Roe decision. Oh yes, Ginsburg did indeed believe that elective homicide should be available without restriction, but she also recognized that Roe short-circuited the legislative process, which means SCOTUS did the legislating, not the legislatures.

I don't think HA thought I was lying Fred, I think it's just something she's never seen before because its not something her echo chamber would have informed her of. Hard to indoctrinate folks when you fully inform them after all . . .

No one is trying to tell you, or any woman for that matter, what they can or cannot do to their own body. The laws restricting elective homicides are establishing what you may or may not do to the body of the human life in utero.

Your rant also fails in another regard, it is well established that the society has a right to tell you that you may not prostitute yourself, ingest illegal narcotics, walk down the street sans clothing, sell your organs for cash, so a legislature, the duly elected representatives of the people, may, in fact, tell you what you can and cannot do with your body.

Despite her impassioned response on the matter of abortion, Ginsburg’s confirmation hearings are also known for setting the precedent of the so-called “Ginsburg rule,” which refers to her refusal to comment on some pending cases or cases that could come before the court. Ironically, as President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh faces the process Ginsburg endured 25 years ago, some experts predict that he will rely on the Ginsburg rule to get out of answering questions about his views on just the very subject on which she spoke so memorably.

Editor’s Note: This story, originally published in 2018, explores Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s views on abortion rights and Struck v. Secretary of Defense—the case that the late Supreme Court Justice argued that she wished legalized abortion, instead of Roe v. Wade. On June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to overturn Roe v. Wade.

When the U.S. Senate confirmed President Bill Clinton’s nomination of Ruth Bader Ginsburg to the U.S. Supreme Court by a 96-3 vote on Aug. 3, 1993 — precisely 25 years ago Friday — that decision set Ginsburg on the path to legal (and viral) history. That process was also noteworthy for her decision to take “the unprecedented step of strongly endorsing abortion rights” in a Supreme Court confirmation hearing, as TIME reported back then.

“It is essential to woman’s equality with man that she be the decisionmaker, that her choice be controlling,” Ginsburg told Senators during her four days of questioning by the Senate Judiciary Committee. “If you impose restraints that impede her choice, you are disadvantaging her because of her sex.”

SO-O=O.because K.'s mother had judicial career .....she probably mentored him for his responses....and I can surmise that Ginsber's statements (position) was a model.....

THE SIMPLE TRUTH IS THE PHRASING OF THE ISSUE WAS A PROBLEM AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN REVISED...WE NOW FIND OURSELVES (WOMEN) IN A CLUSTER FUCK OF MEDICAL MISTAKES.

The simple truth is that the collectivists have, over the course of the last few decades, sought to use the courts to legislate when they couldn't get their policy adopted by a legislature and Roe was an example of their success in that regard, which is why it had to go. The means do not justify the ends and even Ginsburg realized that because of the means that Roe was going to fall. Casey relied on Roe, so when Roe fell, so too did Casey.

Sad that feminism has been reduced to "We demand the right to kill our unborn children!"

Decades later, the selfishness of this time period will be lamented.

Most deaths are not caused by evil war machines but selfish men and women. "Kill the kid".
