Voluntary Alcohol Prohibition?

Lowest alcohol consumption rate since polling started. Amazing.

Wonder what will be the side effects?
Less crime?
More Restaurants and bars closing? Alcohol sales provide much of the profits.
Less drunk driving?

Why are we not drinking?
Cost?
Worried about health concerns?

Aging population?

Are we becoming a more puritan nation? Sex rates are lower. Smoking rates continue to decline.

Replied by Rick on topic Voluntary Alcohol Prohibition?
Weed is cheaper with less bad side effects.

Great point.

My uncle was a prison chaplain and took a lot of confessions and also had many AA sessions with inmates. More were in prison for doing crimes while drunk than stoned or high.
