Given the fact that a business exists to make money, and if it fails to accomplish that task it will cease to exist (unlike say, a government, that can simply compel more revenue from its "customers"), tell me why on earth a corporation, large or small, shouldn't put money first HA.

Businesses are created to make money. The owners risk their savings in hope of doubling and tripling their savings.
I buy Amazon stock because I think they have a good business plan and will make me money. I don't buy a company's stock because they overpay slacker employees.
WSJ had a piece earlier this week where they compared companies that spend big money advertising that they are great to their employees and "good corporate citizens".
Turns out they tend to be the Businesses more likely to screw over their customers and investors.

PrintSmith is right. It’s also true the small businesses like mine also put money first. Why would I risk my 100k investment by putting my employees before my profit? No profit means no employees.
It’s really a simple concept to grasp if you have an average amount of common sense. BTW, the last business I built gave my main mechanic the opportunity to start his own shop… he learned a lot from me and I paid him well enough that he could start his own shop when I had to shut mine down.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

MY BROTHER HAS A 35 Y. O. BUSINESS IN FAIRBANKS, ALASKA...HIS MOTTO TO HIS SELECTED
EMPLOYEES IS,''IF I MAKE MONEY, THEN U MAKE MONEY...HE REWARDS THEM HANDSOMELY AND DOES SMALL BUT SPECIAL THINGS FOR THEM.....THEY R LOYAL BECAUSE HE IS THOUGHTFUL.....AND IT IS A TUFF THING,BECAUSE HIS BUSINESS IS WEATHER DEPENDENT
Businesses compete against other businesses for market share as well as for employees. My community has 5 different restaurants, which includes ours. I did some snooping and discovered that the cooks averaged about $18 an hour, so we started our cooks at $20 an hour. Our servers make $12 and $13 an hour which is a little above average, but they don’t have to tip a bartender because my wife and I split that job and we don’t require staff to tip us, only their fellow team members. As a result, we have the same staff we started with over a year ago and we have people from other restaurants on a waiting list to be hired if we need one.
I didn’t need government to dictate what we should pay because the market takes care of that. Businesses that treat or pay their employees poorly don’t need government intervention either, because once again, the market takes care of that too.
