News: Immigration What happens when ICE takes away a Colorado family? A teammate disappears. A colleague misses work. Neighbors are gone.
Carolina Suarez Estrada, who was taken into custody in Salida, and her son, Luciano, remain in immigration detention in Texas
WHEN U READ ABOUT TRUMP'S ATTEMPT TO RID THE COUNTRY OF CRIMINALS THRU DEPORTATION......REMEMBER THESE LIVES AND THEIR LEGAL STORY.......THIS IS THE REALITY OF OUR COUNTRIES LEADER AND HIS CRUELTY. THIS IS JUST NOT CLOSE TO HOME STORY, IT IS OUR WESTERN COMMUNITY AND OUR COLORADO REALITY.....AND U (COLLECTIVELY) SAY HOORAY, HIS HONORABLE KING
HAS ACCOMPLISHED A HUGE TASK IN MAKING US SAFE AND SAVING THE ECONOMY......I AM DISMAYED AT THE DISREGARD FOR DESTROYING LIVES. IN SUCH AN INHUMANE WAY.
When I see stories like this I just wish Democrats would realize the harm that their sanctuary laws prohibiting cooperation with immigration officials do to the rest of the community. Had ICE been able to take the offender into custody inside the courtroom where he appeared for his DUI case, there would have been no need to attempt to take him into custody once he was back in the community, no need to put the mom in a position where she wanted to protect her partner from deportation and in doing so created a situation where all of her hard work and following the rules caused her to violate laws which subjected her and her son to deportation as well.
Whole situation could have been avoided absent the insane laws enacted by Democrats in this State . . .

THIS IS THE OTHER SIDE TO THE STORY....THE COMPANY/BUSINESS WILL SUFFER, U DON'T THINK THE ECONOMY WILL TAKE A HIT WHEN THIS SCENARIO IS REPEATED HUN DREDS AND HUNDREDS OF TIME?
Suarez’s boss said of the 17 workers he oversees, all but two are immigrants with work permits and pending asylum claims, the same as Suarez. The Sun is not using his name because he fears retaliation from ICE.
In a social media post two days after Suarez’s arrest, the company, Fading West Development, said their entire workforce is in “full compliance with state and federal laws.”
“We stand firmly in support of our staff and our community,” the company’s post said in English and in Spanish.“We are committed to sharing resources that help ensure everyone feels safe, informed, and empowered to know their rights.”
What the cry-me-a-river story doesn't emphasize, and should, emphatically, is that had the mom pulled over immediately, as everyone is supposed to do when a law enforcement vehicle pulls in behind them and activates their lights, she would be sitting at home in Salida, going to work each morning, her son would be in school along with his friends and classmates, and the only change to her life would have been the removal of her partner as a consequence of his DUI charge while his asylum claim was pending.
Had the Democrats not sought political profit from the employment of identity politics, the partner would have been taken into custody during his DUI hearing by immigration authorities and the mom would not have been placed in a situation where she felt like she needed to find a place of sanctuary for her partner when the immigration authorities lawfully sought to pull her over to take her partner into their custody.
The other 15 workers the boss overseas have no concerns. They are making their required appearances pertaining to their asylum petitions, they have work permits, and they are abiding by the laws of Colorado and these United States, so they have no concerns about immigration detention and removal.
Should they fail to attend a hearing on their asylum petition, get intoxicated and drive, assault another person, rob another person, obtain a firearm illegally, or violate any of the hundreds of thousands of criminal statutes on the books, then yes, they need to be concerned about detention and removal efforts. Suarez and her son became subject to detention and removal because she sought to help her partner escape detention by immigration authorities, which is a criminal offense. The same criminal offense, I might add, that a Milwaukee County judge in Wisconsin is facing for slipping an immigrant out the side door to assist them in avoiding detention by immigration authorities.
If you tell the truth about things rather than try to play identity politics for political profit, the immigrants who are here are reassured rather than misinformed and fearful. But, after all, that's not what the collectivists want, they want the immigrants living in fear, makes them more likely to become the useful idiots that the collectivists need to advance their identity politics for political profit endeavor.
Taylor Dolven, the "journalist" at the Sun, did her community a huge disservice by seeking to increase the fear and uncertainty instead of bringing it truthful information that would have reduced those fears and uncertainties.

FRIGGIN RE READ THE FIRST TWO PARAGRAPHS......IT WAS UNMARKED CAR AND COMING FROM A HOSTILE PREVIOUS LIFE....WHAT THE HELL, SHE DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON
AND WAS AFRAID,NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO......
— Carolina Suarez Estrada frantically called and texted friends, family members and her boss, asking what to do.
She was inside the lobby of a Chaffee County government office in Salida. She was hiding from the men following her in an unmarked car.
Earlier that day, Suarez gave her partner a ride to the court complex for a hearing for his recent drunken driving case. When they left, the unmarked car began to follow her, signaling for her to pull over, she said. Panicked, she pulled back into the parking lot and ran inside.
The men following her, she would soon learn, were federal immigration agents.
She didn’t know what to do. The agents were outside.
YOUR SANCTIMONIOUS STANCE IS CERTAINLY TELLING OF WHO U R....YOUR SAFE,WHITE AND PRIVILEGED EXISTENCE HAS NO IDEA OF THE HORROR AND INHUMANE VIOL;ENCE THAT EXISTS OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORTABLE COCOON
The unmarked car, in her own words, signaled to her to pull over. How do you suppose a law enforcement officer in an unmarked vehicle signals you to pull over HA . . . the most common way of doing so would be to activate the lights on the vehicle that are a signal to the driver that they need to pull over, yes? And she didn't do that, instead she pulled back into the parking lot where she, and her partner, exited the vehicle and ran inside a State government building to seek sanctuary. No different in principle than what the judge in WI did when she walked the person ICE was looking for out a side door in an effort to prevent detention by immigration authorities.
That's why Suarez is facing her own deportation . . . she actively sought to prevent immigration authorities from detaining her partner, who was in court for a DUI violation, a deportable offense. Evading law enforcement, or attempting to, generally doesn't work out well for anyone, especially for one who hopes to have their asylum claim validated so they may become a legal immigrant. If she had pulled over when the ICE officers activated the blue lights she'd be sitting at home in Salida right now instead of awaiting a deportation hearing in Texas. It really is just that simple. Follow the rules while you are a guest here, especially when you are asking your hosts for a favor.
