Our 44th president explained that . . . he promised you that the cost of electricity was going to skyrocket to "save the planet". Add to that the supply/demand impact of AI on the grid, and you're looking at the necessity of being off the grid entirely. Since most can't afford to make that investment, we might eventually be on a tiered rate schedule that is income based . . .
Of course, having to wash clothes & dishes twice and run the furnace longer because functionality isn't nearly as important as energy efficiency doesn't help much either . . .
