Trump's Declining Popularity?

Will this hurt the GOP in the midterms?

Will it hurt President Trump in his 2028 reelection bid?

If he can get the Supreme Court to only count US citizens for the census, blue state representatives will decline by 20%.

I’d like the leftist explanation of why it’s good for the country to count non-citizens in the census. HA, can you explain that to me?

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I'll answer with a question. Permanent Legal Residents ("Green" Card holders) are not citizens, should they not be counted? There's one instance of why non-citizens ought to be included in the census.

Then there's Section 2 of the 14th Amendment to consider. The actual text of Section 2 reads,"Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed." Now, the whole number of persons in each State might be larger than the whole number of citizens in each State, but the plain text of the 14th Amendment reads "whole number of persons" and illegal aliens, regardless of immigration status, are indeed "whole persons" within that definition.

And we still have to consider the definition of "the people" which seems to vary according to which amendment is being considered. The 2nd Amendment says that the right of "the people" to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, but it is unlawful for an illegal alien to be in possession of a firearm. While with the 1st Amendment, "the people" have a right to peaceably assemble and petition the Government for a redress of their grievances, and this right is extended to illegal aliens under the definition of "the people".

Section 5 of the 14th Amendment says that Congress has the power to enforce the provisions of the amendment through the passage of laws. If Congress has passed legislation that requires illegal aliens be counted in the census, then counted they must be regardless of feelings on whether or not such a practice is a good idea.

Are "the people" and "persons" analogous terms within the framework of the Constitution? If so, then we have to stop arresting illegal aliens for possessing firearms. If "persons" is analogous to "citizens", then we don't have to extend due process to those aliens here in violation of laws, which our precedents currently require.

This to me is the substance of the argument . . . whether the "persons" referenced in the Constitution are "the people" or "citizens" in application of our framing document.

Under the better system, you applied for American citizenship in your home nation and were approved there.

Instead of dropping anchor babies and then demanding food stamps for them since they are legally American citizens.
