Once again, Trump makes a move that forces Democrats to be on the wrong side of common sense.
In March 2015, U.S. President Barack Obama issued an executive order declaring the situation in Venezuela an "unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States". This declaration was a legal requirement for implementing targeted sanctions against specific Venezuelan officials accused of human rights abuses and corruption.
Initial Bounty: The U.S. State Department initially offered a $15 million reward for Maduro's arrest in March 2020.
Biden Administration Increase: In January 2025, during his final days in office, President Joe Biden increased the reward offer to $25 million as part of a broader sanctions effort and a "message of solidarity" with the Venezuelan people who largely rejected Maduro's claimed election victory.
So, both Obama and Biden were aware of the Maduro threat and took actions that really didn't mean anything or do anything. Once again, Trump decides to solve the problem and, once again, he acctually solves the problem.
Trump has proven over and over that the Democrats are the party of strong words and fist pounding, while Donald Trump alone has turned the Republican party into the party of action and results. Trump just freed an entire country from the grip of a criminal dictator and the Democrats have no idea how to twist the story in their favor. The Nobel Peace Prize is 100% meaningless if Trump doesn't win it.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
