2028 is looking like Vance/Rubio so far.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Looks like it was a war for oil.

Lots cheaper than Iraq and Kuwait so far.

Oh brother, do you actually still think Trump is in the same category as Clinton when it comes to those files? You think Democrats didn’t read the fines when they had them ?

As for a war for oil, there is no war and there will be no war with Venezuela. If you think our future would be better with China, Russia, and Iran in an oil alliance with Venezuela, then you would have to explain your reasoning, which you can’t.

According to the WSJ this is starting to look like Maduro's underlings paid Trump to capture Maduro and let them take over.
The bill will be paid in Venezuelan crude.

Hopefully DC can still lean on Caracas to do what the US wants, like bringing back capitalism.

The only thing the US is running right now is control of the oil via the blockade, which means the Venezuelan government has lost access to its largest revenue stream, which means that if they want those sanctions lifted and the revenue to flow, they're going to have to alter their current behavior.

The vague possibility of "boots on the ground" is a far cry from actual "boots on the ground", and, truly, the only Venezuelans who have to worry about US boots on the ground are the ones running the government at the moment because the problem the US has with Venezuela isn't its people, its the government of Venezuela.
