Does DNA Testing Lower Crime Levels?

Just like body cameras, it appears that if government has a sample of your DNA, you are less likely to commit crimes.

Overreach?

This is more common in Europe. A case earlier had a dead child in a village. The police asked locals voluntarily to submit their DNA. Have to imagine those that did not submit their DNA automatically attracted extra attention from the local constables. What were they trying to hide?
