I wasn't really following the Denver 1st . . . but I always kinda figured that DeGette was a Colorado version of Pelosi, there until she decided she didn't want to be. Didn't realize that the DS arm of the party was strong enough to oust DeGette and am, frankly, a bit shocked by it.
Don't think there are enough unaffiliated and Republican voters left in Denver to put up much, if any, challenge in that District, but maybe, just maybe, if this new face turns out to be a bust the residents of Denver will open their minds to new possibilities in 2 years.
