Jon Voight has done some very respectable acting in his lifetime but that doesn't make him an automatic spokesperson for..... Well, anything. He doesn't lose his First Amendment rights simply by being a celebrity and is entitled to whatever feelings he has. At the same time, it doesn't automatically make his feelings newsworthy, nor does it make him an expert in anything. Think of the oft-reported rantings by Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carry against vaccines. Being famous isn't the same as being a scientist, nor an expert on anything other than being famous for whatever reason one is famous.
"Some famous person whom you may or may not recognize expressed an attitude with which you may or may not agree." This isn't exactly stop the presses material.
